Conygar Class

Our class teacher is Miss Woodbridge.

Mrs Blundell works in our classroom as a member of support staff.

Mrs Fox teaches us on Tuesday afternoons.

Welcome to our Lower Key Stage 2 class page. At St Mary’s Primary School, we have a mixed Year 3 and 4 class. We aim to create a warm, happy and inspiring environment where each child will be challenged and acquire knowledge and skills. Our curriculum is carefully planned as a whole school to ensure continuity and progression for all. As much as possible, we seek to enhance our curriculum through inviting visitors to school and undertaking educational visits.

Children are taught as a class, in small groups and individually, as appropriate. A high priority is given to support children to become independent learners in Key Stage 2. We like to challenge ourselves and try to give everything a go. We take care and pride in the work we complete. We are resilient and understand that making mistakes is okay!

In our class we are a team and have lots of fun learning, asking questions and solving problems. We feel it is very important that the children feel happy and safe in the classroom. We discuss how we can all work together to understand what makes a 'good listener' and how we can look after ourselves, our classroom and each other. We are encouraged to work independently, to apply our learning, but know how to use resources around the classroom to help us as well as ask each other and our teachers for help, if needed.

In Lower Key Stage 2, it is important that we read as much as possible as well as consolidate our times table knowledge. We all have TTRockstars logins and are able to choose reading books to take home.
